An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to join a growing Highland construction business delivering high-end bespoke residential projects in some of Scotland’s most spectacular locations.

This is not a desk-bound design role.

This is a senior leadership position combining design excellence, commercial awareness and hands-on project delivery — shaping the future of a progressive family-run business.

The Opportunity

You will:

• Lead design direction across multiple bespoke and high-end residential projects

• Manage projects through all RIBA stages

• Oversee technical production and coordination

• Maintain design integrity throughout construction

• Mentor and lead an internal design team

• Work closely with the business owner to influence strategic growth

• Travel across remote Highland locations (including islands)

What We’re Looking For

• 8–10+ years’ architectural / design leadership experience

• Strong portfolio of high-quality, buildable design

• Commercial awareness and programme control experience

• Knowledge of Scottish construction methods and contracts

• Confident leadership and decision-making ability

• Full UK driving licence
